I love going to the fair and seeing all the different deep fried foods available. My all time favorite fair snack has to be deep fried Oreos, that combination of crispy coating and creamy filling just can’t be beat. Fried Oreo cookies are actually quite easy to make at home, and are sure to impress your family and friends.

HOW DO YOU MAKE FRIED OREOS?
The first step is to prepare the batter for the fried Oreos. The batter is easy to make by combining pancake mix, egg, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract in a bowl. The batter will look a lot like traditional pancake batter. This slightly sweet batter is perfect for Oreo cookies.

  • oil (for deep fryer or deep pan) + 2 tsp oil
  • Oreos (your favorite variety)
  • 1 1/2 cups pancake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • powdered sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat oil in fryer to 375 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk oil egg and milk together. Stir in pancake mix and mix until there are no more clumps.
  3. Dip Oreos in batter with a fork and then place in hot oil. Fry until golden brown (it took about 2 minutes).
  4. Place Oreos on paper towel lined plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and ENJOY!
