My absolute favorite thing in the world is easy chicken recipes. I have about a million of them, and I never get tired of making (or eating) them. This delicious melt in your mouth chicken bake is just another amazing recipe to add to the list!
This Creamy Chicken Caesar Bake only needs four ingredients and about half an hour in the oven to become the best chicken recipe ever. Now that’s an amazing dish!
You’ll look like a chef with this creamy caesar chicken, but this couldn’t be more simple. My absolute favorite type of easy weeknight meal to make on a whim. After you’ve made it once, you’ll remember it for a lifetime!
“It takes how many ingredients?” Whenever I see a recipe that ostensibly requires fewer components than I have fingers on my hand, I feel like I have to click it, if just to see if the author includes salt and pepper on the ingredient list. Salt and pepper are technically ingredients, but including them sometimes feels like including water or heat — because you might need them for the recipe, but you’re probably not going to have to leave the house to get them.
But when this baked chicken Caesar recipe says it only requires four ingredients, it really means it.
This baked chicken Caesar is one of those recipes that’s so easy it’s almost more of a “life hack” than a recipe, like how mixing French onion soup mix with sour cream makes a great dip for parties. To make this weeknight dinner, you’ll just need chicken breasts, Parmesan cheese, sour cream, and Caesar salad dressing. It takes five minutes to prep, and the author says you don’t even need to season the chicken before putting it in the dish, because the Caesar dressing has all the seasonings you need in it already.
4 INGREDIENT CHICKEN BAKE (EASY CHICKEN RECIPE)
Creamy Caesar Chicken is the perfect EASY CHICKEN RECIPE to make for a crowd because you can spend time with friends instead of spending time in the kitchen.
This moist and tender chicken is as easy as smothering the chicken breasts in caesar dressing and parmesan cheese. The parmesan helps to thicken the sauce and it all bakes down to cheesy creamy perfection. No need to even season the chicken because the caesar dressing already has enough flavor to go around!
All you have to do is sprinkle the chicken with grated Parmesan and put it in a baking dish, then cover it with a mixture of sour cream and Caesar salad dressing. The author recommends a creamy Caesar dressing, and you can use any brand or variety you like. If you prefer homemade, you could also make your own Caesar salad dressing for this recipe, although that would obviously increase the number of ingredients you’d need for the dish.

- 2 lbs chicken breast boneless, skinless, thin
- 6 tbsp creamy caesar dressing
- 6 oz provolone cheese sliced
- 1 cup caesar style croutons
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the chicken breast flat in a large baking dish. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Chicken Seasoned in Baking Dish
- Spread 1-2 tbsp, or a nice thick layer, of creamy caesar dressing over each chicken breast.
- Caesar Dressing on Chicken Breast
- Place the sliced provolone over the chicken to cover.
- Cheese Layered on top of caesar chicken
- Crush the croutons to crumbs, then melt 1 tbsp of butter and mix the croutons with it to coat.
- Caesar crouton cumbs in bowl
- Spread the crouton crumbs over the cheese. Then bake the dish on the middle rack at 375˚F for 20-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crumbs are golden brown. If the top of the crumbs become too browned, loosely cover with foil for the remainder of the cook time.
- Caesar Chicken with crouton crumbs on top ready to go into oven
- Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
RECIPE NOTES:
- You can cut the chicken in half, chunks, or use chicken tenderloins in lieu of full chicken breasts to make serving easier. Cooking time may be reduced.
- Make sure to use CREAMY CAESAR dressing with this recipe. It is not designed for vinaigrette style caesar dressings.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or in the freezer for up to a month.
